show you how to use elementals awesome
lightbox feature which opens images
galleries carousels and videos in a
hundred percent mobile responsive
lightbox popup window so you can
showcase your media in a way that really
makes your design stand out let’s dive
in and see how it works first of all in
order for the lightbox to work you need
to link the image to its media file like
sir
the moment you do this you’ll see an
additional setting called lightbox where
you have three options to choose from
default yes or no default reflects the
status set in the global lightbox
settings and if you want to enable or
disable the lightbox option for specific
widgets you can change the setting from
default to either yes or no I’ll leave
it as is so it reflects the status
setting the global lightbox settings so
let’s enter it and check it out
simply click the hamburger icon and in
global settings choose the lightbox tab
here you can slide the switch to enable
or disable the image lightbox globally
setting it to yes will open all image
links on your site in a lightbox popup
window as long as the link setting for
the image is set to media file next
there are some options you can choose to
either show or hide in the lightbox such
as the cantor which is for widgets with
multiple images such as the image
carousel and gallery widgets and ads an
image counts to the upper left corner of
the lightbox
full screen which adds a clickable icon
that allows users to open the image in a
full-screen lightbox zoom which allows
users to zoom in and pan across the
different areas of the image in the
lightbox and the share option which
allows visitors to share the image on
Twitter Facebook or Pinterest and can
download it to the computer as well
let’s preview the light box to see how
these options work
you
cool now all we need to do is starve
them a bit let’s
and see how it’s done
for title and description you can choose
which image metadata field will appear
as the title and description in the
light box you can select from nan title
caption alt or description you can
change the text for these fields per
image in the media library here we can
give the light box a background color
and play around with the opacity to make
it blend in nicely
the UI color option allows us to change
the light box errors and dot navigations
as well as the close button we can give
them a have a color as well
and here we can change the text color
lastly we can control the size of the
tool bar and navigation icons with these
sliders over here cool
let’s preview again to check out the
changes
I think this really looks great
and as you can see the changes are
applied on all light boxes across the
site what a life-changing event get it
life changing oh and last but certainly
not least all of this functionality is
mobile responsive
so visitors can easily zoom
open images and videos in full-screen
and share the images from their phones
